PUPPERWEAR COURSING COLLARS
are
designed for "slipping" your dog at coursing events,
but may also be
used for leisurely walking and exercise. It comes with a 5' non-detachable
lead
that is sewn into the collar on one side only. Unlike the Full
Martingale which has a non-detachable lead
looping through both rings of the
collar, the Coursing Collar's lead allows the rings to fully separate and
"come off the dog"
without going over the dog's head. Each is
made with a nylon backing and two welded rings in either brass or silver.
You
may choose a material swatch or an accent-color nylon for the collar's
"face", and we suggest either
the sherpa or the faux fur lining for
the collar's neck-side.

All of our collars can be made with
patterned
fabric or ribbon materials on the collar face to create a
fun, humorous, sophisticated, ornate, and/or polished appearance.
We believe that any of the jacquards and weaves
listed on these pages are durable enough for
frequent wear and machine washing;
any ribbon incorporating
metallic threads
(ie: gold lame) may be best utilized in collars worn only for walking or
"dressing up" and may require special care when washing.

Sherpa

This option is
recommended for all short-coated hounds as it helps prevent
chaffing and hair loss on the front of the neck. In addition
to reducing "rub", this lining provides a 1/8"
padding to help protect the trachea should the hound pull on
the collar while walking, running, etc. CHOOSE FROM
THESE LININGS: White or Natural Sherpa lining, Faux
Fur Dalmatian, Leopard or solid black

Choke-Reducing
Padding
This option
gives an additional 1/4" of padding on the neck side of
the collar to further reduce the abrasive effects of a pulling
dog on the throat and airways. |

Walking Leash
Choose a nylon
leash in either 3/4" width or 1" width to
accompanying your new Pupperwear collar. Our standard
leash is 5' long and utilizes a swivel snap end in either
