BASIC BLANKET PRICING

Our standard blankets will have poly-cotton shells and poly-cotton linings.  Durable and machine washable, the standard has a flat finish both inside and out and can be ironed or just wash and worn.

the Rayon-Silk OPTION makes for a shiny exterior (more like the race horses') while preserving the ability to machine wash and wear.  Even with the option, the blankets' lining remains poly-cotton for increased stability and minimal wrinkling.

For CWA, NAWRA, and WRA race meets,
Whippets run in heats containing as many as
SIX dogs.  Therefore, competing Whippets
must have blankets numbered individually 1-6.

THREE different kinds of Sets

Our standard blankets utilize Velcro Closures on 2 Elastic strips at the waist while the elastic at the chest is sewn directly into the blanket seams and cannot be opened up.  

The Button-holed option still utilizes Velcro Closures, however, the elastic is a single strip designed to loop through a permanent button hole and come back around to close/stick on itself.  This option helps to stabilize the placement of the blanket on the dog even if the Velcro accidentally should come apart.  It is also useful when multiple dogs of varying size are sharing the blankets as it creates more "adjustability" in the waist size.

THE REVERSIBLE SET 

This THREE (3) Blanket set comes with all SIX (6) Six Numbers required for straight track racing.  Each blanket is reversible and will have one number/one color on side (A) and one number/one color on side (B).

This set works well if you are running only ONE HOUND or if you know that your multiple hounds will not have to run together in the same heat.

(replaces Velcro closures and elastic at waist)

This option eliminates elastic and Velcro closures at the waist and replaces these with nylon "string ties" that may be pulled through a nylon "keeper" sewn to the back edge of the blanket (where the end of the blanket lies on the dog's spine).  This option is preferred by some because the closures can be "knotted" closed and thereby further ensures the security and placement of the blanket while the dog is running.

THE COMBINATION SET

This SIX (6) Blanket Set comes with a full set of racing numbers on one side of the blanket, while THREE (3) of the blankets will be "backed" or lined with Lure Coursing Yellow, Pink and Blue.  In other words, three (3) Blankets are reversible and will have one number/one color on side (A) and one of each coursing color (pink, blue and yellow) on side (B).  

The remaining (3) Three Race Blankets in the set will have one number/one color on side (A) and a solid black lining on side (B).

This set works well if you both race and course your hound(s).  It does double the work and is double the deal.

THE SINGLES SET

This SIX (6) Blanket Set comes with one number/one color per blanket.  The Blanket linings in this set will be either monochromatic (the same color as the shell) or lined in black poly-cotton.

This set works well if you are running multiple hounds and anticipate their having to run against one another in a single heat.
